Custom. Found. Personal.

Timeless design with a modern day state-of-mind. Our intention is to design spaces that are one-of-a-kind and tailored to the people who live there. To create an elevated environment where you can live comfortably; moving through your home with design elements that are specifically selected to be functional, beautiful and savored. Globally inspired and often locally sourced, our goal is to conceptualize a truly personalized space with authenticity and artful utility.

BACKGROUND

As founder and principal of Whitney Wilkinson Design Studio, Whitney garnered much of her experience under Ware M. Porter & Co., where she learned the art of a well-lived and comfortably appointed home. Her experience with the esteemed company and discerning clientele created an environment to explore, expand and develop her design aesthetic.

Growing up, she loved antique and vintage shopping with her mom and refinishing old furniture with her dad. These experiences ignited a deep love and curiosity in design—how things are made and how our environments could be configured to fit one’s own preferences and needs.

PROCESS
Actualizing a concept from seedling to bloom is Whitney’s wheelhouse. The tenets that she finds essential to each of her projects include a design that is dynamic and fluid, a focus on quality products and materials, and working with a team of architects, contractors and specialty craftsmen for execution. Whitney likes to get to know her clients—their likes and dislikes, how they live in their spaces (and how they would LIKE to live in their spaces), what’s working for them and what’s not. After a series of design meetings, she carefully creates schemes that are then discussed and fine-tuned to bring the project to life.
